  • The Niger Embassy in Rome was broken into Jan 2001. Seals, stationary ect. were stolen. Leeden, the Italian neo fascists and Mosad were most likely involved with both the break in and the forgeries. Wilson went to Niger in Feb 2002 to check out the story that the CIA had already debunked. How did they debunk the story if they did not know the Docs were phony? Yea, they were the ones who forged them but they would not debunk them as well. I understand that they were published in the Italian Mag Oct '02? When is the Novak quote from? I am sure that they are all in it together but a bit confusing now, give me some help.

  • I thought they got the forged docs in late 2001, and the documents were considered forgeries before Wilsons trip.

  • Well Bush does not seem to be listening to any one these days; ie "the war on terror" is his language of choice and no one is going to take it away from him. The only choice is for the dems to filabuster as a matter of principal. With both houses behind Bush, there is nothing else that can be done. Bush must be riding on the invincible fantasy of ultimate supreme power, no checks or balance in his way. BTW wasn't the deal that was struck in the senate regarding filabuster on lower court appointees, a trade for no recess appointments, and the dems would reserve filabuster only for SC appointees?

  • I think the original "Who's Who in America" reference was intended to deflect attention from the fact that he got her name on June 8 from a source that was on the june 7 air force one flight to africa. On that flight the June 10 memo was circulated with one change: Wilsons maiden name was used instead if her married name.
So yes, as you say, "But remember now: 'Don't Look over there ...'", but not so what.

  • It seems so outside the realm of possibility, but do you think that Novak never checked to see if Plame was in there and freaked when he saw the book with the post-it? Highly unlikely but, apart from him being drunk, I am grasping at straws.
