    Posted at September 4, 2008 7:25 PM in response to McCain's Speech: Obama Doesn't Have "The Scars" That I Have

  • McCain is toast if he can't win over independents, and strip some democrats away. The fact that Palin has alienated voters in these two key demographics is huge.

    Posted at September 3, 2008 6:59 PM in response to Gallup: For Every Voter Palin Wins Over, Another Jumps To Obama

  • You know, I've read portions of this before, on various website comments sections (probably ADR). I mean, I read this stuff last Friday when Palin was first announced. It leads me to believe one of two things:
    1) It's a fabrication, consisting of bits that have been cobbled together from ADR chat boards, or
    2) It's one person's manifesto, that has evolved over the past week, but is what it reports to be: an account by someone who knows Sarah Palin.

    I have to say, I'm a little bit skeptical.

  • Yeah, I find I agree with you. I'm an atheist, and I think Palin was a horrible choice for lots of reasons. But this doesn't sound any different from what a million other politicians say - including Bush.

    Posted at September 2, 2008 4:13 PM in response to Palin Church Speech Shows Intertwining Of Politics And Religion

  • The game sure is changing: with the ridiculous choice of an inexperienced right-wing evangelical woman as the VP, the Republican sleeper plants within the liberal blogosphere have finally been given instructions to go all out in support of their candidate. Sorry, lalo: you can report back to your handlers within the McCain camp that it's not working.

    Posted at August 29, 2008 10:28 PM in response to Will Hillary Clinton supporters vote for Monica Lewinsky?

  • I don't know about the high moral principles and character bit. As I understand the accusations at this point:

    -She used her office to try to get a trooper fired for personal reasons;
    -She fired the Director in charge when he refused to do as she wanted;
    -She covered it up when pressed;
    -She hired a political supporter in spite of the fact that there were proven allegations of sexual harassment against him;
    -She funneled a cushy state job with the Department of Transportation to a political contributor.

    I guess that at least she's got her Republican bona fides.

  • It's true! Earlier today, the entire wikipedia entry simply read "tacos." Now it's been changed with all kinds of information about Palin.

    (That's actually true, by the way.) But if you seriously want to look into the changes, you can do it on wikipedia itself. Just look in the "History" column, go back a couple weeks, and check it out.
