Add this to the stockphotos of African Americans they used at the RNC and the actors portraying a military funeral.
Stay Classy, GOP!

Yes, Dems hate small towns! And then she follows it up w/ an equally meanspirited line implying that anyone who's ever done community service is a sap. I bet there are a LOT of Rs who've done community organizing/service that should be offended.

Didn't Palin herself say that there is no room for "whining" (a reference to Hillary) in politics...that the "whining" itself demeans women?
Looks like the Repubs aren't taking their own candidate's advice.

Isn't the image of Palin learning at "the foot of the master" a bit misogynistic? Is she his subservient slave?
It brought the image of Princess Leia chained to Jabba the Hutt to mind.

If they had actually done a good job rebuilding after Katrina they wouldn't have to be having an "Oh sh*t moment right now. They'd be saying "Look what we did to rebuild!" But that would have taken competence, and we can't expect that from the GOP.

Polls show Obama leading in key states? I guess we'll be seeing the following headline soon:
"Trouble for Obama in New Polls"

The McCain camp is getting a ton of free air time for these "ads" though. They're clearly thinking that if they run malicious/false/outrageous ads, the media will just eat them up and air them constantly. So far they are right.

A few ways the ad fails:
1. It's petty
2. Many people think Obama's popularity is a GOOD thing (since when is being a crabby, bitter, old man a requirement for prez?). This ad reinforces that image.
3. Offshore drilling is not popular in a lot of coastal states.

Yes, the weirdest (not the worst) part of Black's statements were that somehow John McCain was better fit to get us through Bhutto's assassination?!?! It's so non-sensical and ridiculous it's difficult to respond to other than repeating: These guys are just idiots.
Not to mention that if there were a terrorist attack before the elections, wouldn't that mean it had taken place on Bush's watch?
