  • Vincent Bugliosi and John Dean have said the time has come to stop playing games. It is time for special prosecutors. And public hearings, under penalty of prison. I can foresee three US Attorney Generals going to prison. They deserve it.

  • What we have to fight for is not a particular result, but the process. We have had three corrupt Attorney's General in a row, men who refused to investigate corruption, so much so, that they became the leaders of corruption, the corrupters themselves.
What we should do is encourage John Conyers' Investigation, then follow up, if a Democrat wins in November, with the appointment of a Special Prosecutor to investigate all of the following, because Carl Rove's Corruption of The Department of Justice starts in Alabama.
    1) The stolen 2002 Alabama Governor's Election. Democrat Don Siegelman was 6,000 votes ahead in Baldwin County Alabama and ahead statewide. Then Republican Judge Johns sent Democratic Poll Watchers home and conducted a 3rd recount with only Republicans present the 6,000 vote lead of Gov. Siegelman disappeared, suddenly Bob Riley was 3,000 votes ahead. Republican Attorney General Pryor then seized the county ballots and refused to allow any further recounts.
2)US Attorney Alice Martin's attempt to subpoena Democrats at the State Capitol while the State Legislature was in session. This was done as a political stunt. Republicans and the press had been tipped off in advance.
3)US Attorney Leura Canary's indictment of Don Siegelman in 2005 after using the threat of indictment to force Don Siegelman not to request a recount of 2002 Alabama Governor's Election, then droppint the matter.
4)Roger Shuler of The Legal Schnauzer Blog has championed Don Siegelman's case since the 2002 Alabama Governor's Election was stolen. Days ago, the Republican Sheriff illegally and in an open conspiracy with local Republican Elected Officials seized and auctioned Roger's home. Though several legal scholars have cited legal errors and denial of due process in what happened to Roger, corrupt Republicans relentlessly pursued his persecution to silence Roger's defense of Siegelman and attacks on Carl Rove. Working hand in hand with Republican Judges they succeeded in their corruption.
We have to help Roger appeal this and get hearings too.
Then we can have the Special Prosecutor investigate how it happened.
The Corruption started with Carl Rove and it started in Alabama. Proving that will prove everything else, including the criminal acts of John Ashcroft, Alberto Gonzales and Mike Mukasey in obstructing justice, persecuting innocent people, much less torture and murder, crimes against humanity.

Then and only then can we investigate Cyril Wecht's Persecution by US Attorney Buchanan; The US Attorney's Firings; Georgia Thompson's Persecution in Wisconsin, etc...

  • To me, this is the most glaring example of what is wrong in America: Assistant Attorney General John Yoo says that George W. Bush has the right to Torture an innocent child to extort information his paretns may or may not have. Carl Rove orchestrates a campaign to steal the 2002 Alabama Governor's Election by stealing 6,000 votes from Democratic Incumbent Don Siegelman in Baldwin County Alabama through an illegal recount by Republican Judge Adrian Johns(who sends Democratic Poll Watchers home and conducts a 3rd recount with only Republicans present, it is this third Republican Recount in which 6,000 votes disappear) which assures Republican Bob Riley of a 3,000 vote victory. Republican Attorney General William Pryor illegally seizes the voting boxes preventing any further recounts, for which he is rewarded with appointment as a Federal Judge by George W. Bush.
US Attorney Buchanan sends FBI Agents to persecute Jury members who wanted to acquit Cyril Wecht.
We are a Nazi Police State.
We have got to have a Indepedent Counsel who will send George W. Bush, John Yoo and Alberto Gonzales to the Hague or Nuremburg for trial. Several US Attorneys, The Bush/Rove Persecutors in the Department of Injustice need to be prosecuted for obstruction of jusice, malfeasance and violation of their oaths of office. And they need to be punished with life in prison. They offer, they deserve none.

  • So much to do:
I believe the first step to putting our country on the right track again is letting the German Justice Minister get his hands on John Yoo; then again, maybe not sending him to Berlin or Bonn, but sending him to the Hague is where he belongs(I wonder if it is possible to have him sent to Nuremburg?). But until then I guess firing him from Berkley will do.
Then getting Attorney General John Mukasey on record and under oath about his mysterious phone call from Afghanistan, which no one can find any record of. Then indicting Alberto Gonzales for malfeasance and perjury. If Mukasey can't prove it, then he should be the next held to account.
Then getting Carl Rove to testify about the Stolen Alabama Governor's Election in 2002, where a 6,000 vote lead by Democrat Don Siegelman in Baldwin County Alabama became a 3,000 vote lead by Republican Bob Riley after Republican Judge Johns sent Democratic Poll Watchers home and conducted a 3rd, illegal vote recount, which was followed by an illegal seizure of the ballots by Alabama Republican Attorney General Bill Pryor.
Then giving Michael Ware of CNN(who was smeared by Drudge), Helen Thomas who was smeared by Tony Snow and Dana Perino and ignored by President Bush for asking questions they were too afraid to answer, the Presidential Medal of Freedom and proving that the spirit of Edward R. Murrow and Walter Cronkite lives on; then giving Admiral Fallon and General Shinseki The Presidential Medal of Freedom for doing their jobs and telling the truth. Proving integrity in public service is still possible.
The lamp of Freedom has not gone out, yet.
Thanks to Glenn Greenwald and Brad Friedman(Brad's Blog) and the currently persecuted Alabama gadfly, Legal Schnauzer, Roger Shuler whose home is being stolen by a Republican Sheriff angry at Shuler defense of Democratic Governor Don Siegelman.

Come to think of it, firing John Yoo from Berkley sounds like a great start. Crimes Against Humanity sounds like a good ground to fire someone. It worked with Himmler. There is so much we have to do.

  • This is the whole point about the US Attorney Firings. That Honest US Attorneys were fired so George W. Bush could engage in Political Persecution. It must be kept in front of people and discussed everyday. As a start, Siegelman's attorneys have called for a Special Prosecutor. I think that is a great start.
