McCain Was FOR Talking to Hamas Before He Was Against It
Here's John McCain in 2006 saying he believes the U.S. SHOULD be talking to Hamas:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oXp-_RKTzo8Check the link and send it to your friends. This should be shown on every tv news show in the country. But the only way it will...more »

"It seems to be a matter of fairness to them. If Obama speaks, McCain should be able to speak too."
When Obama appears my guess is there will be upwards of 100,000 people of all backgrounds cheering wildly. When McCain speaks a few weeks later there will be 500 older guys who look like McCain eating jelly donuts and mumbling "Yah!" every time McCain says, "Meine freunde... THAT'S not change we can believe in...".

It's finally (for the moment anyway) the top story at the ABC News site. Maybe that will set off the others to compete over it.
If anything gets it on the evening news shows it'll be the Dr. Phil line. And if they want to run that line they're going to have to cover the Gramm remarks for it to make any sense.
So we're reduced to hoping Barack will have a steady stream of one-liners throughout the campaign just to get news coverage of legitimate issues.
And then they'll complain that being a good comedian doesn't mean he's qualified to be president.

I vote no on Edwards - he wasn't a good vp candidate in 2004 (in his one debate against Cheney he basically sat on his hands), he did little in the Senate, he's done little since leaving office. Great talker, but seems more devoted to being prez than really doing much.

But would the results have been the same if it were a push-poll with questions phrased thus:
As a pet owner would you be more or less likely to vote for John McCain if you knew that he'd had sexual relations with his pet, Coco the mutt?
a) More likely
B) Less Likely
C) The Same

I though Terry was a colossal jerk in 2004 and I still think so.
But now he's OUR jerk.

Lieberman attends a synagogue whose Rabbi, Barry Freundel, is at the forefront of a group (Alliance for Marriage ) pushing for a Constitutional amendment that would define marriage as being between a man and woman. Lieberman has said he's against this.
If Lieberman would have left Wright's congregation then why does he continue to worship with a Rabbi who wants to use the Constitution to LIMIT human and civil rights?

Indeed, I skip most of them. Does that mean I'm not allowed to point out that TPM has become absurdly obsessed with polls, posting the results of multiple polls almost daily? Or that alternative media like TPM should not be as lazy or, frankly, mindless as the CNNs who blithely report every poll as if it means anything?
The reporting at TPM is often excellent. I'd hate to see the current trend continue - polling results replacing real reporting.
