  • Greed trumps honor...

In the 2000 Republican primary, St. McSame learned just how successful a full frontal Rovian attack can be.

Obviously, his greed for the power of the POTUS has surpassed any honor he may have had.

  • Anybody that's listened to Al for any significant amount of time would realize what a bright and informed person he is on the important issues.

Based on the above, most comments are coming from peolpe who didn't listen to him on a daily basis.

I won't say that I agreed with him on every position, but he did invite guests with opposing opininions and most importantly, he invited guests who knew what Al didn't know. That is a quality sorely missing from many in Washington.

  • ... Karl Rove is smiling ...

Lemmesee, 38 seconds on the "sniper fire" flap, the remainder on the ISSUES, especially the economy.

But hell, why focus on the issues, you know, what this and every other progressive site ought to be focused on.

    You're better than this TPM.

  • The more things change...

Nice to know that in 40 years, not much has changed about how efficient the Army is at sweeping their dirt under the rug.

The rug must be pretty lumpy by now.

  • Do yourself a favor; watch Nova's Judgment Day: Intelligent Design on Trial.

The truth just might set you free.

  • Ideas and I-Deists...

A scientist endeavors to know how things happen.

An I-Deist is sure they know why things happen - they happen because (insert dogmatic explanation here).

Ironically, the I-Deists are living proof that evolution creates the branches described in the Nova documentary - they belong to the branch of humans that didn't acquire the gene necessary to separate fact from fiction.

  • PW,

I disagree with your first point because I think it was important for Larry to set the table for his main point. Informing us of his relationship (positive or negative) strengthened his credibility.

Invariably, the audience is completely unaware of the intanglements with the topic at hand of the "advisors", "contributors" and "analysts", retired military being one of the best examples.

As for Larry: Sir, you have my deepest gratitude for you continuing service to our country.

  • The last few times he's been on this segment, Bob's been able to stomp all over his "opponent", most notably the doddering Jack "Makes New Friends Daily" Valenti.

I've gotta believe Fitzgerald's really got Novak sweating.

Oh well, at least Novak's conversion will allow him to pop into the nearest forgiveness booth and erase those red marks from the Big Book.

  • I predict that Rove will admit that his part in this was motivated by the need to protect against another 9/11. He will say that Joe Wilson's savage, fact-bare attacks on President Bush were politically motivated. He will say that all Americans deserved to know that Joe Wilson and his wife conspired to dupe the CIA into sending Wilson to look into the yellow cake deals with Iraq.  Rove will say that the real criminals are people like Joe and Valerie, people who will stoop to any level to interfere with the President's attempts to spread freedom and democracy.

Put simply, Rove will say anything.
