  • These numbers also don't take into account that the runner up, presumably Clinton, campaigning for their fellow Democrat for the general. Nor have we seen either Democrat debate John Mccain one on one. Those numbers also assume that this is a contest based on popularity and not on policy differences.

  • That was a bad move. Rachel Maddow thought it was "a bold move to say the least".

Remember why Moveon.org was formed in response of the impeachment of Bill Clinton!

  • Zogby gave NH to Obama by 13 points! These polls make me dizzy.

Obama takes PA by 1% and gains a majority of the pledged delegates. That's my prediction.

  • MI and FL are not revoting. Hillary can't carry the delegate vote nor the popular vote NOR the states won. Her campaign will try to keep moving the goalposts but watch PA. It won't be Ohio. It'll be more like Texas after that speech. Even the Conservative pundits can't help but admire the courage. Coupled with the constant gaffes coming from Mccain about the false connections between Iran and Al Qaeda. The Democratic Party knows that despite the polls, a Democrat as gifted as Barack Obama ROUTES a moderate conservative turned neocon flip flopper like John Mccain.

The Dems are back and Barack is going to lead the way!

  • They won't vote for Mccain. They won't vote at all. Likewise with Latinos under 30. Latinos over 30...they go to Mccain.

  • I wrote Senator Charles Schumer (D-NY), Mukasey's biggest advocate during the confirmation hearings, and he wrote me back with this letter I posted on Daily Kos.

Bear in mind I was dissenting because of his refusal to declare waterboarding torture. See the Senator's full response:

Sorry I know it's shameless self-promotion but his letter is quite ironic considering today's news.

  • I wrote Senator Chuck Schumer before Mukasey's confirmation, warning him not to back his buddy. Mukasey is worse than Alberto Gonzalez. He's corrupt AND competent.

With that said, it looks like we're going to wait for Obama to go after Bush's thugs.

  • Mccain came across as violent and aggressive. I'm sure he'll have a few slips of the tongue during a general debate with Obama. He's so hellbent on fighting, WWIII would be a certainty on his watch. Scary.

Posted at February 19, 2008 9:27 PM in response to McCain Wins Wisconsin; Immediately Trains Fire On Obama's "Empty Call For Change"

  • But let's just be honest with each other here, Obama can beat Mac. If this holds up then the super delegates are going to swing it to the one who can win. Hillary is too close to call, why risk the presidency to someone who will keep us in Iraq indefinitely and attack Iran? Enough is enough, get behind the one who can win!

It really is that simple. It's not about gender or race, it's about electability. If the stars are aligned with Obama, expect the super delegates to follow suit.
