I am not convinced how much information from our torture effort has value. Apparently the translators were hired by a contractor without much quality control over accuracy of translation ability.. ( See Greenwald, see Iraq for Sale)

Iraq for Sale. There are amazing reports in the film about all the ways the interrogations went wrong.

The issue is they WON'T work here.
Not yet, anyhow.
The reason they won't work here is our present culture of fear and greed, which prevents the idea of true equality.

I saw Sicko last night. A great point was a comment from an American living in Paris:
"In France, the government fears the people ( that they will strike or riot).
In America, the people fear the government".
It is remarkable how openly and clearly the Bush Government signals its distain for equality, most Americans, most of the world.

oh oh...looky here....

4 airman, 3 from the ND Minot base have died since July.

1 . Minot-based Airman Adam Barrs died on July 2.
2. Minot-based Airman Weston Kissel died on July 17.
(One died in a motorcycle accident while on leave in Tennessee.
The other was found dead in his home.)

3. Airman 1st Class Todd Blue was assigned to the unit that provides security for that bomber wing at Minot Air Force base. He died while on leave in Virginia.
Sept. 12, 07: ( possible he was a pilot, some sites say)

4. John Frueh, a B-52 pilot based in Florida, apparently committed suicide in a secluded area while on vacation on August 30. Although not widely known, John apparently was actually a Major with Air Force Special Operations Command.

Four deaths. One unexplained, one by accident and two by suicide.

These incidents are being investigated by a freelance writer...

Wiki says a lot about Welch, this being a key piece:

He's a former member Joint Chiefs of Staff ( Air Force).
currently president of the Institute for Defense Analyses in Alexandria, Virginia.. also on the board of directors of CACI International .
which is the company that provided contracted civilian interrogators to Abu Ghraib,

and on the board of directors of the Henry L. Stimson Center, [3] a think tank which describes itself as a nonprofit, nonpartisan institution devoted to enhancing international peace and security through a unique combination of rigorous analysis and outreach.
Defense Science Board being another Gov't/Military think tank.
Not exactly a neutral party to any military investigation.

Politician's approach to the HEALTH CARE needs of the people is to make it all about increasing income for the insurance companies, not about addressing problems with the actual CARE.
The problems with Health Care is not even being discussed.
EX:
*** the Insurance Cartel's recent huge rip off of Medicare drug program.
**** huge price markups of drugs
*** lack of emphasizes on Wellness programs
( insurance rarely covers those costs).
ad nauseum.
Timing of the Insurance benefit plan co-incides nicely with the wave of baby boomers who are more likely to need more medical service.

According to the story I read, the military guys said they were planning a full scale investigation on/by Sept. 14 !!!!
Why wait that long for the "investigation"?
Unless something else is planned before then.

Remember, The PNAC plan states that Iraq, Iran, and Syria and Nigeria are all targets of the NeoCon world order dream.
And I have read elsewhere that Israel will handle Syria for us. All the better to get that pipeline that runs thru it.

Without elaborating, the embassy in an email to U.S. citizens in Nigeria warned, "potential targets include official and commercial installations in Abuja and Lagos," according to the Associated Press.

Embassy officials said in the email that it had "received information that U.S. and other Western interests in Nigeria are currently at risk for terrorist attacks," the AP reports.
