I am so happy to read this news. This story affected me so deeply--and I'm not really sure why it did more so than the other daily assaults (global warming, the ongoing war, outing CIA agents, complete corruption of the justice department, lack of proper funding for education, health care, road repairs, etc.) Anyway, after reading all of the good investigative journalism--particularly by Harper's Scott Horton and Raw Story's Larisa Alexandrovna (I hope I got her name right) and watching the 60 minutes segments and following Dan Abrahm's coverage, I am just so encouraged by this outcome and hope that true justice will prevail, the bad guys end up in jail or losing their positions of power and that the department of justice is salvageable next year when (if?) the Dems take over.

I didn't like Al Franken on SNL years ago--I just didn't think he was that funny. My brother (who did like him on SNL) recommended his book "Lies and the big fat liars..." and I loved it. Then Air America came to San Francisco and I LOVED his show. He was so smart, so compassionate, so on top of the issues, had amazing guests, and he was FUNNY! I was so sad when he left radio--I really looked forward to his show every morning. No progressive radio host has filled that mix of funny, insightful, and need to know. I don't see how anyone from Minnesota could vote for Norm Coleman over Al Franken. It just doesn't make any sense. He may not BE Paul Wellstone, but he GETS who Paul Wellstone was and will be a similar type of politician. I wish he was running in California, I'd trade in Feinstein for him in a heartbeat. I really look forward to watching him on C-Span next year!
