Although I read TPM each day, all I read is that Obama is great, and Hillary is old hat. Since I support Hillary, I wish Josh would at least be neutral about who he wants put in the White House....more »

The Siegelman affair caught my attention from the 60 Minutes broadcast.
I suspect that only in State of Alabama can you eliminate a man from office by triumphing up false crimes against him, and putting on the shackles on before before he is even out of the court room.
Since the Republicans couldn't get him out of office any other way, he was fair game where politics trumps the judicial system by a mile.
I also noticed that somehow the 60 Minute Broadcast was blacked out in Birmingham and Huntsville. Of course, that was just accident. I hear the CBS schedule came back on after the show.
Those people, who run that state, are not even subtle.

I read an awful lot of Obama blather on this website. No doubt, because Mr. Marshall leans that way.
Josh should not forget that there is more than one way to win the general election. I believe the polls, like the one for Nevada, are just a tad early.
The Clintonians are telling telling Obama worshipers that there is a hard ominous 'Reality Check' looming. No matter how much they want Obama to carry the cross of the Party, he may not make it, and if he does get the nomination, the abyss still may open wide for him.
Mr. Marshall' notion that it all goes down to pledge delegates and super delegates is naive.
Those bloggers, who are staring at the electoral college numbers, red state minority delegate counts, have a point.
So does those who point out that cacauses do not represent most general voters of any state. Finally, add to this the millions of disgruntled voters from Michigan and Florida, and Senator Obama may be more trouble than Josh can wish him out of.

"Political poetry must be consumed on the premises." I heard that once in English class. Although I liked Murray's poem, this tome is locked in the time frame of our little war in Iraq. It is not, however, for generations to come. Still, the poem bites and must have been fun to write.
As to Petraeus after five years, I find it hard to believe anybody when they speak glowingly about the nightmare of Iraq. Names like Bremer, Cheney, and the rest will haunt us for years to come.
Our politicians must think Americans are morons. Hearing about Fallon, it is good to hear even now, that some military men have had enough of the President's destructive policies to resign. causing endless suffering going on over there.
I find it interesting that the reporters, who have been in Iraq, have not given up their 'crap dectectors', and question anything that comes out of the military mouths.
Go bite them journalists...!

Not so. I disagree. It looks to me like he has stuck his hand into a tar baby, and the more he speaks about it, the worse it gets.
He is a normal neophyte politician that has yet to come to terms with how the ball game is played. For most voters past history is all. One must earn his way up the ladder. Two years in the senate won by the other candidate disolving is not going to do it.
His words of hope and unity mean little unless translated into tangible policies. Few of which he has yet offered to convince me He is not the Messiah even though women faint at his rallies.
Words, words, words, Ms. Mort has them, and so does Obama. But he is going to need more than charisma.
I believe he will win the nomination, but it will be with minority Democratic Red State delegates. None of which will go blue. McCain will bury him.

There wasn't much in this short piece to make a judgement about what Ms. Montagnes was saying about the problem of raising children.
Where does he get his money from presently? Are there any foundations supporting Mr.Canada in Harlem? He has quite a resume, but how is that translated into what he is doing in Harlem. And just what exactly is a community based model for saving children?
From the blog she writes, I don't have a clue. If this model is such a powerful one, I would like to hear more about it. From this blog entry Ms.Montagnes has written a mystery.

Recently read about the boycott of Daily Kos, because of the loss of neutrality in dealing with the coverage of Hillary.
Although, I do not think I will boycott my two most familiar blogs, any time soon, I would like to stress that if I only wanted one point of view, I would go to the McCain web site, or the Obama one.
I read this blog because it was a good liberal one, not a mouthpiece for the Obama campaign. Have David Kurtz and all the rest cover Hillary well, but evenly.
You may feel that Obama is the Messiah, but a hellofalot of us don't.
We don't to be further insulted by clearly paritisan coverage, based on delegate counts from red states that are going to go to Republican in the fall anyway.Posted at March 16, 2008 10:28 PM in response to Obama's Michigan Co-Chair Suggests Agreement On Redo Of Primary Is Likely
