  • How many campaign managers has this been for McCain? Perhaps the theme should be, "Ready on Day One... then again on Day 100... then just a few more staff changes around Day 200... but really by the end of the first year, no, really!"

If a candidate can't lead a campaign, they'll only get worse once they hit the big seat and have 30+ cabinet secretaries and all those "3 AM" calls.

  • Doesn't thier 'Favored Lists' have "Cain For Senator Donors"? OMG! I knew the Republicans were in bed with religious groups, but I always thought they were the groups on the side of good! The truth revealed! It was a Republican that first spilled his brother's blood and thus created murder. Then, of course, Abel's family had to create the court system to ensure that Cain had a fair trial. Cain was then able to get off on a technicality because the lawyer representing him was a snake. All this leads to Cain running for office, with a snake for an advisor and the Republicans on his side.

  • First, "liberal Nicholas Kristof". Did the Nation really say that? What a catch-22... exclude the quote and reduce the credibility of your argument; include the quote and reduce the credibility of you.

One thing I despise about the whole flip-flop argument is the assumption that a politican cannot and should not legitimately change their mind. I've had enough of that crap with Bush, "well, at least he sticks to his guns!" Even when they're pointed at his head. Not that McCain isn't a flip-flopper - someone who can offer no rational reason for why they changed their mind - but just sayin'.

  • Yea! If we can't have Ralph Nader, then screw the Democrats! Let's all vote for Ron Paul and show them that John McCain is liberal enough for us over the next four years!

  • If McCain is so willing to use images of our men and women in uniform maybe he'll change the policy against showing the coffins coming off the planes on their return to US soil.

Or perhaps next he'll use the pictures of a hundred solidiers, armored vehicles, and guard helicoptors around him in that Baghdad market to say how much the common soldiers support him.

  • Louisville1975, how you mix your Kool-Aid. Obama handily wins all the traditional Confederate states and now his supporters insult anyone "below the mason-dixon line"? Sounds like a Troll to me.

Lalo35adm: just answer Seth's question. What defining action/moment/issue turned you off to Obama? If you're not a troll, then at least take a few minutes to Google a pretend answer.

  • Well DR, if you really are a Republican instead of just another anti-Obama hack, why not base your comments on the traditions of your party? David Broder lamented the treatment received by the Office of the President from Bill Clinton, famously saying the Clintons came to Washington DC and "trashed the place", including their casual attitude toward Presidential formality and Hillary Clinton's move away from the traditional First Lady role. That tradition includes the courtesy paid to the families of the candidates within the discourse of the campaign, however rough it may be.

From your comment, "remember in war, you're not worried about how you hit the enemy... just that you hit them, and hit them hard" I can assume you're really just a partisan and happen to be 'against' either the Democrats and/or Obama. If you really are a Republican, then try and be a little more rational in your comments about a candidate who would like to 'conserve' your own party's traditions in relation to the office.

While you're at it, why do you hate America? You really consider this election a war and can legitimize whatever you need to do to win? Have you ever taken the Pledge of Allegiance... you know... "one Nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all"? Or are those just vapid words meant for sporting events to you?

Sorry, I didn't mean to take one sentence from your many blog replies and make cake... how does it taste?
