When all else fails---attack the messenger.
It appears that some Democrats have learned much from the past eight years of Republican politics via Mr. Rove. By attacking Mr. Kleefeld you also attack the wisdom of Mr. Marshall as it is he that has put said writer in the position to report on these election subjects. Anytime that Mr. Obama recieves any type of percieved slight by TPM reports, whether justified or not, his minions instantly attack the messenger in true Rovian form.
After PA is was written by many in the blog world how Mr. Obama would put Mrs. Clinton to rest after his tromping of her in NC and IN. Now that Mr. Obama's past is starting to nip beyond his heels the metric has changed into what appears to be a statistical tie in NC and bulging lead in IN and Mr. leefelds writing is right on the mark.

Everything Obama has ever said, done or associated with is something that will define who he is to voters. I have had people tell me some of the most irrational things on why and who they voted for. So, if Obamam can convince a very large number of people that he sat in a Church week after week for twenty years and did not once hear Rev. Wright speak his illogical nonsense, than he will succeed in his quest. If not, he can get on the list with Gary Hart, Ed Muskie and Gov. Michael Dukakis.

From th AP: "Democrat Barack Obama said Tuesday he was outraged and appalled by the latest comments from his former pastor, who asserted that criticism of his fiery sermons is an attack on the black church and the U.S. government was responsible for the creation of the AIDS virus."
Let me get this straight---Mr. Obama goes to Mr. Wright's church for 20 years, listens to the preacher, donates money, takes him on as "Spiritual Advisor" and then when the rest of the world discovers that the preacher has some pretty wild ideas about white people, the USA and the government, Mr. Obama claims that the guy never spoke that way when Obama was around him? Now suddenly he is "appalled and outraged" by all the fuss.
Sounds like just another politico trying to save his campaign from a past that he had hoped would stay locked up in a dark closet.Posted at April 29, 2008 3:39 PM in response to Rev. Souljah and the Laius Complex

"Of course you agree that it's a legitimate political issue. You're a Clintonista/Freeper troll."
So anyone that backs Clinton and posts on TPM is a "troll", and thus in turn, only Obama backers are worthy of posting on this site.
Are only Obama posters legitimate? I see very little policy discussion in these blogs comments, but thousands of posts on trivial matters of who is smarter or who said something mean. Can there be no adult discussions here without name-calling and put downs?
I thought that the Obama movement was one of inclusion and change. The more I read the posts on this site the more I feel that I am on TNR or Redstate. Don't forget it was this same type of childlike pandering that saddled us with our current leader.Posted at April 27, 2008 11:25 PM in response to McCain: Obama Said It's Okay To Hit Him On Wright

Please explain how having a contested primary in which the voters of all the states are allowed to have a say in who will represent them during the general election is "hurting the party" and the country.
How is it that because one candidate having a small lead should cause the other should end their run to allow the other candidate can stroll through to the convention?
If there are DEMS out there that believe that Clinton is hurting Obama by contesting the nomination, wait until Rove and his crew get a chance to lay into him.

Also nice to know that Americans donated $11,000,000 to media conglomerates that will continue to pour vapid breaking news stories, reality shows featuring half naked people lost at sea and countless hours of PAID PROGRAMMING into the homes of Americans for countless days in the future. Most people that donate cash to politicians believe they are furthering their cause, when in reality they are enriching the coffers of Big Media. Way to go, keep poring that cash down the rabbit hole. By the way I am happy to say that I did not see not one single BO advertisement here in western PA, but I am sure there is someone out there that saw both their 100 and mine. For them I hope there is some kind of detox available, paid for by Mr. Obama.

Keep on plugging away Obamaites and it will surely be John McCain hugging W on that podium on Jan 20, 2009 not BO.

If by chance BO gets to be president I predict he will pardon all of the Bush henchmen in order to "move forward" and not relive the past gory Repub years. He will accept all the powers that Bush has scribed out of the constitution and move all the dirty stuff to the scrap heap of history. All the while Bush will travel the world telling everyone what a great leader he was, while having no threat of prosecution and reap in millions in speaking fees from all his worldly friends. Unless Bush pardons everyone on the way out the door!

BO is over. The speeches that matter were already given---by his mentor. That is what people on the fence and the leaders of the party are going to remember. I have not spoken to one single person who believes that BO never heard his Reverend Wright speak his hateful speech toward other Americans.
