  • Sorry folks, but this time it is not the "Republicans" at fault. Rather, it is BOTH parties who have turned their back on Veterans. Anyone old enough to remember why there is a veteran's service office in all counties of this country? It's because fore the past 50 years, the VA has been an adversary of the veterans and this was the only way to get help for the disabled returning from battlegrounds. Just think for a moment... we pay the federal government good money to operate the Department of Veterans Affairs, then have to pay the government a bunch more to actually get the veterans accepted at the VA.

Anyone care to guess which congressmen have actually felt the need to CHANGE this atrocity? NONE!

We now have a Veterans Administration who believe that, because these soldiers are all volunteer, it is perfectly ethical to send them back to combat zones after declaring them mentally ill so the efficacy of drugs can be researched. It was considered unethical when folks were drafted.

So folks. Our Veterans Administration and Pentagon believe sending mentally ill is perfectly okay. Of course, if it were an adversary of ours, it would be a crime against humanity.

Trouble is... no one in an important role in government actually cares... as do very few of the folks voting these past years. Apparently, "We the People" now support this concept... or at least have accepted it... IMHO

  • GIf there's a statute of limitation on any of these crimes, you can bet that Congress will indict these clowns the day AFTER it expires. that way, in their arrogant manner, they can all stand up and bellow how they really wanted to try and convict these nogooders, but the law must be obeyed.

VOTE THEM ALL OUT, FOLKS... NONE of them care a whit about the people who actually make this a decent country to be proud of... IMHO

  • No problem...
With the money "We the Taxpayers" have given him (I'll guarantee he's a Billionaire many times over by now) he can still do whatever he wants to entangle us in the messes which eventually kills many innocent folks... and makes him richer and more powerful.

Of course, this is all brought to us by the folks who have grown up with the religious belief that when you think god talks to you and gives you direction you CANNOT listen to any other reason... even when the proof is indefensible. (Look to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue for a prime example)

  • Also remember... both the Republican AND Democrat Congress and Senate are supporting this administration. It's the same as if you yelled at your juvenile delinquent son about how he is ruining his (and your) life while giving him $50 for the booze party he's throwing at your house tonight... and throw him the keys to your car while your at it...

  • As though any of these clown actually CARE what Conyers (or anyone else, for that matter) thinks.

when there are no consequences, the thugs rule... and it appears the present congress supports the crooks 100%.

  • "Clearing it up "would forever alter the accommodation process that has served the Nation so well for over two centuries," attorneys wrote."

Yeah, like actually holding some of the folks representing "We the People" with REAL accountability and consequences... how undemocratic is THAT!

  • Isn't it nice that, as other regimes, we can now keep political prisoners indefinately and just make up expedient "rules of law" as needed for the continuance of those in power.

In a REAL democracy, the people overseeing this behavior would be tried and put in prison, but because we have a mob made up of Democrats and Republicans and empeachement is off the table (isn't it nice that "We the People" have absolutely no say in this decision because for some reason, the powers in Washington believe it is not in THEIR best interests to actually punish wrong doers) there will be no accountability... even though those same people continue to espouse accountability at every opportunity.

Of course, we will vote these same clowns back into office again and again because apparently, we also no longer believe a democracy is needed... all the while continuing to espouse how much we need our democratic ideals back... sad ending to a great nation...

  • ABSOLUTELY NONE of the leading Democrats in office should EVER hold another public office. At the least, those folks we elected lied about their abilities to make changes at the Washington level. they were nothing more than liars telling us anything to get them more power.

At the most, they are mobsters, protecting their own and their futures with deception, cronyism, fraud and treasonous acts... even to the point of protecting a Republican administration from anything more than negative speeches. They ALL need to be behind bars, not representing decent human beings!!

  • Now, now... wecan't treat these important people as if they were just like anyone else in our society. We have to treat them as they are... equal, but more equal than us mere commoners.

Of course, if we were still a democracy, most of them would have been in jail some time ago...

Apparently, democracy has developed a whole new meaning from when we originally became a nation...

If you disagree, just take a good look at our newest democratic ally... Iraq...

  • hopefully, if they violations are found, the penalties will be enough to stop the practice and be financially elevated enough to actually pay for the investigations and prosecutions without being supplimented by "We the People". Won't happen though... IMHO
