Thanks for the answers guys, I get the "payback" part, but I don't see how it discredits what he reported that he found at all. Oh well, I guess I'll just give up on my attempt to grok the repooplican mind.

ok here is something I never have figured out about all this -- exactly how was the outing of his wife as a CIA operative supposed to "discredit" Wilson?
"oh your wife works for the CIA, so we know you can't be trusted!" -- that makes no sense but everyone on both sides seems to accept it as a given.Apparently I'm the only person in the world who doesn't get this, so if anyone could help explain I would apprecate it!

"Then when the IAEA detects all that weapon grade plutonium, they can assume that it came from the facility rather than one of the bombs used to destroy it."
That makes sense to me, except I thought it was the case (but maybe only on '24'!) that radiation from each countries nuclear weapons have specific footprints that would make it clear to the IAEA that the plutonium had come from the U.S.
Does anyone know if this is true?

>The Democrats lack the unity and the Republicans lack the integrity to confront the realities of Iraq.
uh, I think the lack of integrity applies more to the Democrats than to the Republicans -- the Republicans are at least acting in alignment with their warped ideals, the Democrats... well you did use the term 'chicken shit' in your article.

I hope Al announces, and wins, but the only way I see it happening is if after all the primaries there is no clear winner. After months of fighting each other none of the existing candidates will be able to stomach supporting one of the other ones. Then deux ex machina -- Al rides in to save the day and unite the party!
Well that's my fantasy anyway...
