Um, no . . . the Democratic voters of Connecticut decided they'd rather nominate someone else for the Senate, and Holy Joe got in a snit and quit to become an "Independent Democrat," whatever the hell that is.

He quit. Nobody said, "Joe, you can't be a Democrat anymore." Connecticut Democrats did say "Joe, you're not our choice for Senate, sorry pal," which is not the same thing at all.

Can you understand the difference?
