  • NOTES FROM THE SMACKDOWN

-WOW! Just wow. Last night was better than I'd imagined. I'd put Clinton winning Indiana at about 6 points any less than that and she would have lost any ability to keep making the argument that she's still viable. 2...more »

  • HILLPOCRISY?

Here's a thought for the day:How many times will Hillary Clinton accuse Barack Obama of saying something she's already said?So far we have: NAFTA-gate "Going negative" The "associations" with the Weather Underground figures Having "ties" to controversial religious figures Talking...more »

  • UPDATE: VETTY-VETTY-VET-VET

Also along the lines of my earlier post: Carl Bernstein in a piece shaming Hillary for having attacked Obama using guilt-by-association tactics on his "ties" with Weather Underground member William Ayers, puts some more meat on the bones of Hillary's own ties to controversial...more »

The other day I posted a piece about how I don't get how the Hillary camp can make the arguments either that she's been vetted --or that "vetting" even matters in regard to how the republicreeps will proceed in the...more »

  • WOW, IT FINALLY HAPPENED

I just knew that the Hillary campaign was saving something to dump today as the last message before the PA primary tomorrow. Here is the ad that is Hillary's last-ditch stand:Is that what it's finally come to? Usameh Bin-Laden? She...more »

  • OBAMA SURFING

No, not like John Kerry was surfing. I'm referring to how he seems to be riding out the latest wave of hypocritical bullsh*t from both the other republican candidates. This "elitist and out of touch" stuff is amazing. The republicans dust it off...more »

  • This @&$&$^#^ is my congressman and I'm livid about it -unfortunately because I live in the small tip of Long Beach that borders "the Orange Curtain" (Orange County [the OC] is notoriously right-wing for those who don't know) and due to gerrymandering bu the CA GOP there's not a damn thing I can do about it. Help I'm stuck in Rohrbasshole land!!!

  • Well I didn't mean "how would he be replaced" I meant literally who would it be? I think Webb's more valuable where he is.

Wes Clark would the same qualities to the table as veep and wouldn't vacate a sitting congressional or senate seat. And now that he's out of the HIllary camp why not?

  • Because at this point it's no longer about the general for her.

Her campaign has at least 10 million in debts and she's spent over 11M herself. She can stay in without attacking Obama and still talk vaguely about winning w/o hurting him and pick up some scratch to offset the debt in the meantime. Then when it's clear that Obama has the insurmountable delegate lead -she can get out in the black and with a shred of grace. She'll also have an opportunity to bolster her clout so that she gets some sort of golden-parachute.

  • And we need Webb's Senate seat. Who'd replace him? Remember his victory was a surprise and only came about b/c of Allen's "macacca" implosion.

Kathleen Sebilius or Wes Clark -now that he's out of the fold.

that they were just trying to GOTV for the general election.

Because gosh it's only 6 months away so we just had to do it a week before the primary in a state where Obama was heavily favored.
