The self-righteous blather from the offended officials of this den of superstitious nonsense--sorry, this church--is nauseating. "Rev." Wright's inflammatory racist rants and Obama's cowardly behavior in "renouncing" them (after two decades of sitting in the pews) have, imho, cost Obama any chance he may have had at being elected. Sure, he'll probably get the nomination. But this continuing drivel from the "Rev." Wright's supporters is only guaranteed to help sink Obama. And again, before the doctrinare among you get your panties in a knot, I was as guaranteed an Obama voter as you were likely to find until last week. I think I'll sit this one out come November.

Whatever. Several salient points:
1. What do you expect from any politico--Obama, Clinton, Bush, McCain--who actually believes this superstitious nonsense?
2. Obama in doomed. This is just the tip of the "Rev." Wright's available-on-DVD-from-his-own-church racist and anti-American rants. Expect a new one to bubble up every few days from here on out. It's not like there's a lack of material.
3. It takes Obama a good half-hour to get from his house to this church. There are several dozen Protestant churches between his place and the "Rev." Wright's church. He could, at any point, have said "enough already" and switched churches. He didn't. He's been sticking with the church and the reverend for two decades.
4. This is a no-win for Obama. Had he stood by the "Rev." Wright, he would have been labeled a radical hate-monger--by association, of course. He dumps Wright, and he instead looks like a chickens##t who threw the reverend overboard the second he became problematic.
5. 'Tis a pity, because I was looking forward to voting for Obama. Not any more.Posted at March 15, 2008 6:26 PM in response to Jeremiah Wright Steps Down From Obama Campaign

The JF Public Affairs Office now has a recording saying that all requests for the report should use the "Contact Us" tab on their website, which is www.jfcom.mil.
I made my request. How 'bout you?

I was about to start "with all due respect," but then realized that no respect is due to people who believe something without any shred ot evidence. Religious believers do, indeed, perform good works, and if that alone were the issue, I'd be praising them. But whether they're Christian, Jew, Muslim, or otherwise, they insist on perpetuating myth and superstition. I prefer to have a relationship with them much as Mark Twain was said to have had with God--we tip our hats when we pass on the street, but we never speak.
