I am only a Canadian, so can somebody please explain what a "prostitution ring" is, what is illegal about one, and what is allegedly newsworthy about the fact that somebody, even a married governor, paid money to have sex with a prostitute? Is that worse than committing adultery with someone who is not a prostitute?

Well I am not from Texas, or a red state, or a blue state- I am a Canadian. But it seems to me that any party who has a candidate who wins in California, New York, Texas, and Ohio, and still trails in the nomination process has a pretty srange process.

There will "probably" be more killers on the streets in the US over the long weekend? You have got to be kidding. There will certainly be more. The average number of murders in the USA is about 15,000 a year. The average number of people killed by alcohol related car crashes in the US is about 18,000 a year. In terms of potential premature deaths (we will all die, the only issue questions are when and how), those caused by Isaamic jihadists ranks way, way,way down the list.

Well, that is the Rove response alright. But what is the point? The proper response is to quote Hamdan's lawyer who said "I think he (Hamdan) was awe-struck that the court would rule for him, and give a little man like him an equal chance," Commander Swift said. "Where he's from, that is not true." If Rove, Bush, Cheney, Scalia, Thomas, Alito, and apparently you, get your way, it won't be true of America either. What is the point of wining if "winning" means America ceases to be America?

Pretty good. Shows you are a serious sports fan! But I think you underestimate the influence Avery Johnson has had on Nowitzki's success. He is the guy who changed the way Dallas played offense. Even when Nash and Nowitzki were doing well at Dallas together, it was pretty obvious that Nowitzki was settling for the jump shot too often (you don't have to be 7 feet to be an effective jump shooter), at the expense of properly maximizing the attribute he has that almost nobody has (he is 7 feet tall). I don't think Nash should be held accountable for that. I am petty sure that if Nash and the "new" Nowitzki were to hook up again, or if Nash was the point guard on the current Dallas team, the result would be multiple NBA championships.
