Talis Colberg
Talis Colberg has served as Alaska Attorney General since Dec. 2006, promoted by Gov. Sarah Palin from his post as a Matanuska Valley assemblyman. Palin asked Colberg to investigate Walt Monegan's firing, several weeks before the legislative probe into the incident got off the ground. It was later revealed that Colberg had placed a call to Monegan about Wooten's employment, making himself a subject of the probe. Despite this, Colberg remained involved in the case, filing suit to throw out subpoenas issued by the state legislature. The employees later agreed to testify, though too late to be included in the Branchflower report.
