Todd Palin
Todd Palin, Sarah Palin's husband and "First Dude," emerged as a central figure in the Trooper-Gate scandal after fired Alaska Public Safety Commissioner Walt Monegan said Todd Palin complained to him about the continued retention of Mike Wooten. Todd Palin initially refused a subpoena from the Alaska legislature, but later said he would respond to questions in writing. The affidavit revealed that he spoke to over a dozen state officials about firing Wooten. Palin's membership in the Alaska Independence Party from 1995 -2002, except for a brief period in 2000, has also drawn scrutiny.
